GERY Design is a design agency that draws its inspiration from the dynamism, the rich indigenous culture and history of its environment.
Composed of 2 departments, Kanak/Oceanian Design and the Umameks universe , the agency designs designer products and creative projects to brighten up your spaces, your daily life and your image.
A bridge between the ancestral, narrative art and contemporary design
The Umameks are a universe - a poetic, graphic and spiritual world inspired by the invisible joyful spirits of Kanak culture.
Umameks works exist in several artistic forms (Posters, Stickers, Mini paintings, Coloring pages, Toy paper...).
And creative and collaborative projects: Creative workshops (children, families, schools, teachers); Illustrations (books, albums and publishing projects); Collaborations (brands, institutions, events); Murals (illustrated walls, art installations); Stands (goodies & artistic activities, events)

GERY Design creates exclusive designs for a variety of needs: wedding rings for future brides and grooms, symbolic objects for private events, tailor-made atmospheres for guest houses and reception areas, artistic or decorative pieces, and creative solutions adapted to each world.

Umameks comes from the word "Uma hmekôl". Literally written "UMA NE HMEKÔL", it means the place to sleep in Drehu (the vernacular language of Lifou), generally the traditional Kanak hut.
